Chris S. is the Executive Director for The Ability Center of Southern Nevada and a CCCU member for more than 25 years. He has lived in Clark County for 30 years and enjoys golfing, going to the gym or visiting one of Las Vegas’ amazing restaurants. He founded the local nonprofit, The Ability Center of Southern Nevada, the only gym in the state for people with special needs. “Prior to founding the Ability Center, I was a personal trainer at LVAC for 15 years,” he said.

At Clark County Credit Union, giving back to our community is at the heart of our CCCU Cares program. Recently, CCCU was proud to take part in an Elementary School Shoe Distribution Event hosted by the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. At the event, our 12 volunteers helped fit 342 children in need with brand-new shoes, socks, backpacks, and fun with a one-on-one shopping experience.

Despite the rainy, windy weather, the event was filled with warmth and excitement — especially with the UNR cheer, dance team, and band bringing college spirit to the day as part of the Mountain West basketball tournament held at UNLV.
