How to Detect And Avoid Phishing Scams

CCCU Brings Comfort to Children at St. Rose Dominican Hospital

When children are hospitalized, it can be a scary and overwhelming experience for them.

CCCU Cares teamed up with Build-a-Bear and Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) to give 440 children a teddy bear to offer them comfort when they check into St. Rose. It provides a sense of security and companionship during a time when they may feel alone and frightened. Additionally, the soft and cuddly nature of a teddy bear can help soothe anxiety and ease pain for children who are undergoing medical procedures or recovering from surgery.

More than 200 CCCU employees came together for the Build-a-Bear experience to stuff each bear and write a personal letter to each child receiving a bear. All the bears were then donated to the CMN Hospital for Nevada – St. Rose Dominican. CMN hospitals care for children of every age and background with the goal of helping children overcome/prevent disease and injury. They also keep kids out of the hospital through research, education and outreach programs.
