Are You Budgeting for Unexpected Car Repairs?
Over the last few years, the cost of labor and parts has continued to increase—leaving car owners with higher repairs bills. With advanced electronics and computerized systems now standard in most vehicles, even the smallest repair can end up costing you hundreds, even thousands of dollars. Below are some typical cost examples… - Engine: $10,655
- Transmission: $5,482
- Fuel Pump: $747
- Brake Caliper: $570
- Starter: $473
With Major Mechanical Protection (MMP), you can protect yourself against these costly expenses. An MMP policy is often much less than the cost of a single repair and, in most cases, you will not have to pay anything more than a small deductible should a breakdown occur. Not only will MMP protect your wallet, but you will also extend the life of your vehicle—by keeping it in tip-top condition. Plans are available for most new and used domestic and imported vehicles. For maximum value, consider adding MMP when you purchase a new or used vehicle. Contact your Clark County Credit Union loan officer at 702-228-2228 (option 1) on how to protect your vehicle and wallet with MMP!

Three Generations of CCCU Members: Neitha L., Member Since 1994
Retired nurse Neitha L. has been a Clark County resident and member at CCCU for 28 years and she enjoys how the credit union has that friendly family feeling from the moment you call or step into any of the branches. “I’ve enjoyed all my visits to the credit union,” she said. “Most of the employees know me and always greet me warmly. My children and grandchildren are also members. I’ve also recommended other family members and friends. They’re all satisfied with the service.” Over the years, Neitha has enjoyed the many benefits of membership with CCCU and most recently was able to sell her used car (that she had financed with CCCU) through Members Auto, the CCCU-owned auto broker. She says, “I lived a mile away from the nearest branch, so I had brought the vehicle in, and Tina (AVP MABS Manager) met me there. The whole process took about one hour, and when Tina asked how I was going to get home, I told her I’d walk since it was just a mile. She offered to drive me back home!” Neitha joined the credit union in 1994 after moving here from California with her family. “As soon as I walked in, it felt different than any bank I was with! I tell all my friends and family that I only use Clark County Credit Union and encourage them to join!” said Neitha. Thank you, Neitha, for your continued membership and your ongoing support of CCCU. We are proud to have you as part of our Clark County Credit Union story!

Five Ways to Save Time and Money with Your Checking Account
We all have different responsibilities that keep us busy day-to-day. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some simple ways to help save time and money without adding more to our to-do lists? Your Clark County Credit Union checking account can help! Here’s a list of five ways a checking account can help you be more efficient with your budget: 1. Online Bill Pay Save time with Mobile and Online Banking to pay your bills with your checking account. You can easily pay utilities, rent/mortgage, HOA bills, and other regular payments with this option. With online bill pay, you can even choose to have a reoccurring payment set-up, or pay as your bills come in directly to the app. Save money by avoiding processing fees you may incur by using a phone or website system to make your payments. 2. Earn Rewards At Clark County Credit Union, members are offered not just credit rewards, but also debit rewards! Every debit card purchase can earn points that can then be redeemed for cash back, travel, gift certificates, or merchandise rewards. Plus, with the CCCU debit card, you receive Roadside Dispatch (Visa Benefit)1, this is something usually only seen with credit cards. You also have the Pay with Points option which lets you pay for your purchase with points you’ve already earned.
