CCCU Discusses Mortgage Rates

Retired Las Vegas Police Officer

Long-time member James S. opened his account in 1994 on the second floor of Credit Union Plaza located on Sahara Ave. “The place was convenient, and the people were great,” James said.
James came to Las Vegas from the Midwest in 1958 when the city was much smaller. “There were about 70,000 people here and it was lovely. It’s grown a lot now with all the construction,” he said.
Over the years James has used several products from CCCU, including a mortgage. He also recommends CCCU to friends or family if the topic of finances comes up and he shares about the Bonus Dividend deposits he’s received in years past. “If I get the Bonus Dividend, it usually adds to my savings.”
Retired at the age of 57, James said, “My wife was the love of my life, we did everything together and when I first retired, for the first several years, we did a lot of traveling in the motorhome. We were married for 61 years; together we have 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren!”
James thank you for your years of service to the city and for your continued membership. Clark County Credit Union is happy to have you as a member and as part of our 70th Anniversary celebrations!

Third Annual CCCU School Supply Drive
|

This year, it’s expected that back-to-school spending will reach record levels due to the effects the coronavirus had on the school system, according to a recent CNBC article. As parents and students prepare for in-person and distance learning this fall, we want to ensure they start the school year prepared with the supplies they need for success.
Starting July 19, CCCU will host its third annual school supply drive to support our local students in need. Items in high demand include: - Lightweight Headphones or Earbuds
- #2 Pencils
- Pencil Sharpeners
- Disinfectant Wipes
- Copy Paper
- New or Gently Used Coats
- New Boys/Girls Underwear
The full list includes:
Glue Sticks, Scissors, Crayons (24 count), Dry Erase Markers, Composition Notebooks, Spiral Notebooks, Hand Sanitizer, Pencil Sharpeners, Resealable Storage Bags (quart, gallon, and sandwich size), Sticky Notes, Erasers, School Supply Box, and Backpacks.
There are two ways to give your support: - Donate items at any of our six branch locations.
- Make a cash deposit/transfer at any branch or by calling our service department at 702-228-2228.
CCCU will be accepting donations from now through July 30. Please consider providing a donation to make this school year a little easier for the students and teachers at our local underprivileged schools.

New Portal to Submit a Debt Protection Claim

CCCU is happy to announce we now have an online portal for members to submit a debt protection claim if needed. This means if you have a loan with debt protection and experience any of the events below, you can easily submit a claim through the CCCU website: - Life
